Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Kiptopeke State Park will be holding a Job Fair to recruit seasonal employees for the summer. The Job Fair is scheduled for March 19th 2022 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Current employees will be on hand to talk about seasonal job opportunities, accept applications, and hold on-site interviews. The park is looking to fill positions including Park Interpreters, Contact Rangers, Maintenance Rangers, and Housekeeping. Some of the duties will include leading environmental education programs, providing customer service at the contact station, camp store and visitor center, landscaping, maintenance, light construction, and housekeeping of the campground facilities, and overnight facilities.
