Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Virginia State Parks Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for purchase in any whole-dollar denomination at any time of year. Gift certificates may be used online or over the phone for reservations, annual passes or in the park for anything we sell. Third-party concessionaires who operate in our parks do not accept gift certificates.

Give an annual pass as a gift

Consider giving a gift certificate for the value of an annual pass (Passport). If the recipient already has an annual pass (Passport), they can add another year or use it for an overnight stay. The gift certificate lets them decide when they want their year to start based on when they redeem it. Buy a gift certificate.

Once you have given the gift certificate, the recipient will use this link to buy the pass.
