Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Bushey Point Trail

Join Leesylvania State Park rangers on a guided hike along the Bushey Point Trail as we discuss wetlands and their vital importance to the ecosystem, as well as some of the plant and animal species that make their homes in these unique habitats.  Meet at the entrance to the Bushey Point Trail on the south side of Boat Launch Parking Lot Number 1 for the approximately 1.5 mile hike.  This trail is rated as easy in skill level; please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.  Standard parking fees apply.  For questions, please call (703)583-6904 or e-mail leesylvaniavc@dcr.virginia.gov.
