What's happening this month in Virginia State Parks

February

February is the perfect time to explore Virginia State Parks and soak in the beauty of nature. It’s also a month of reflection and celebration as we honor Black History Month and the remarkable contributions of African Americans throughout history. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, many couples choose this season for romantic getaways—and for those ready to “pop the question,” our parks offer unforgettable settings for proposals and weddings. Bird enthusiasts will love February too, as migration begins and species return to their summer breeding grounds. Don’t miss the chance to join the Great Backyard Bird Count and connect with nature at one of the many events happening this month.
