Celebrate love and nature this Valentine’s Day with a romantic Sweetheart Stroll at Douthat State Park. Take your special someone—or treat yourself—to a guided hike along Buck Hollow Trail, a scenic 2-mile out-and-back journey rated as difficult.

This enchanting winter woodland trail winds its way to the Buck Hollow Overlook, where you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of Douthat Lake—perfect for a heartfelt moment together. Along the way, a park ranger will share stories of the park’s rich history, point out winter flora, and reveal the secrets of wildlife that thrive during the colder months.

Whether you’re celebrating romance, friendship, or simply your love for the outdoors, this hike is a beautiful way to make Valentine’s Day unforgettable.
