“Siege at the Wilderness Road Blockhouse” will be held at Natural Tunnel State Park Blockhouse on Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-29, 2011.  Join us as we step back in time over 200 years. Daniel Boone and 30 ax men blazed a trail that allowed 300,000 settlers to pass through Southwest Virginia. Saturday festivities will start at 10 a.m. with a Son’s of the American Revolution Ceremony.  The Siege will take place Saturday around 2:30 p.m.  Our day will end at 9 p.m. with a night battle.

Sunday’s activities will begin at 11 a.m. with a Frontier Worship Service and conclude with a Sunday Social at 3 p.m. Seating and shade is limited, so please bring chairs and an umbrella if you like. Parking for Saturday is $3 per car and admission is free.
