Impacts of the winter storm on Virginia State Parks and Natural Area Preserves

Overnight facilities will be closed at the following Virginia State Parks from Fri., Jan. 30 through Sun., Feb. 1 at the following parks:

  • Belle Isle
  • Chippokes
  • False Cape
  • Kiptopeke
  • Lake Anna
  • James River
  • Bear Creek
  • Pocahontas
  • Twin Lakes
  • Claytor Lake
  • Fairy Stone
  • Occoneechee
  • Smith Mountain Lake
  • Staunton River
  • Grayson Highlands

Your safety is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding as we work to reopen all park amenities and facilities that closed due to impacts last weekend’s winter storm.
