If you have never stayed in one of our Virginia State Parks cabins you are missing a great family vacation or weekend getaway. Cabins have all the comforts of home including linens, pots, pans, dishes and glassware, heating and air conditioning. And right outside of your cabin is everything that a Virginia State Park has to offer - trails, wildlife viewing, exploring the natural world. It's your for visiting other sites in the local area. You come back from your visit relaxed and with your batteries recharged.

Most of the year we have a two night minimum. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day we require a week stay (except within a month before arrival if it's not booked the requirement reverts to the two night minimum). We accept reservations up to eleven months in advance and up until midnight the night before. Cabins are sometimes available for same day reservations. We always offer a last minute reservation special on Thursdays and Fridays for the upcoming weekend with a 25% discount. Prices (PDF) also vary seasonally. Some cabins are still available for this summer. Fall is very popular so weekend fall cabin stays are already being booked now.

Cabin sizes vary by park (check the individual park's web page) , but two bedroom cabins are more prevalent system wide. We have historic log cabins built by the Civilian Conservation Corps 75 years ago, restored tenant farmer houses, and a variety of other cabin styles including new cabins built in the last decade. Some parks have five or six bedroom cabins that are perfect for family reunions and small business meetings with sleeping accommodations from 14-18 people depending on the facility
