Beach weddings are very popular, and there are destinations from Maine to Key West boasting the perfect location to tie the knot. But most of these venues can be overly expensive and quite frankly it's very stressful to put your life savings into a one day special affair.

Fortunately, here in Virginia we have a little secret that we from time to time let out from under our hats, it's called First Landing State Park.

The location of First Landing State Park at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay enables us to offer such a vast array of magnificent settings for your wedding, reception and photo opportunities galore.

First Landing State Park rents tents, tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment and catering house wares for events. Parking is limited during peak seasons so a shuttle bus or carpools are recommended for large parties. A special-use permit application and $25 application fee are required. Specific dates cannot be guaranteed until the application is approved by park management and a deposit is paid.
