Meet me at The Lodge!
Did you know that Virginia State Parks are perfect for group getaways and gatherings? Many of our Virginia State Parks have lodges that can easily accommodate 16 people comfortably!
Virginia State Parks lodges typically consist of two wings with 6 bedrooms and three large bathrooms. In the center of the lodge is a massive common area for families, friends and groups to mingle and have fun! The main gathering area of the lodge features a huge window-walled living room with fireplace, sofas, chairs and coffee tables and a large dining table that seats 8 with counter space to seat another 8. These areas are perfect for scrapbooking, Bible study, puzzles, board games, drawing or anything else you have in mind.

Virginia State Parks lodges are built with you in mind! Central heating and air conditioning, a large kitchen where everyone can get involved in food prep, front porch and back deck with rocking chairs, picnic tables, BBQ grill and even a fire pit for s'mores! Virginia State Parks lodges are ADA compliant.
Outside the lodges there is always ample room for the kids to run around, kick the ball, chase the dog and play! Do you remember what it was like as a kid to just go outside and play? Well this is the place to do it!
We invite you to make memories and experience these lodges as a family reunion, church retreat, scrapbook, quilters group or even an office team building weekend! Many of the lodges are waterfront, with ample paved parking and always convenient to other park amenities like boat launches, swimming beaches, playgrounds, visitor/interpretive centers, hiking and biking trails!
Every Virginia State Park is loaded with programs for the whole family from canoeing, geocaching, natural history, interpretive walks to campfires, crafts and Hi-Trek Adventures. See a list of park events here, there is something for everyone!

The lodge at Occoneechee State Park pictured above rents for $297.00 per night at the time of this article, this equates to $18.56 per person per night.
