Spring Peak

Enjoy a guided walk through mature hardwood forests of Crows Nest Natural Area Preserve to see spring wildflowers and birds with Natural Heritage Regional Supervisor and bird expert, Mike Lott. The tour will cover the forest's importance to birds, including several that breed at this preserve that are identified as Species of Continental Concern: red-headed woodpecker, wood thrush, Kentucky warbler, and the prothonotary warbler.
Meet at our interior parking lot off Raven Road. Search for "Crow’s Nest Entry Road" in Google Maps. It is a 1.5 mile drive up the entrance road to the parking lot labeled as "Crow’s Nest Trailhead" in Google Maps. The provided coordinates are for the parking lot.
