Natural Tunnel State Park is a testament to the majesty of nature's craftsmanship. At its heart lies the awe-inspiring Natural Tunnel, a colossal limestone arch stretching 850 feet long and soaring 10 stories high. Adventure seekers can explore the park's network of trails while history buffs can learn about the important role Wilderness Road played in America’s westward expansion at the Daniel Boon Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center. This 909-acre park offers four venues for indoor or outdoor weddings that can accommodate small elopements to large weddings.

1. Do you have a venue for ceremonies, receptions or rehearsal dinners?
- Yes, the park offers four locations, including the Cove Ridge Center, Natural Tunnel Deck, Fincastle Fields and the Amphitheater.
2. How many guests can these locations accommodate?
- Depending on the location of your event, the park can accommodate everything from elopements to large ceremonies with 200 guests. Please refer to the locations listed above for more information.
3. Are the venues available for rent for the full day?
- Yes, the Cove Ridge Center is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fincastle Fields and the Amphitheater are available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Natural Tunnel Deck is available from 6 to 10 p.m.
4. Is internet access available?
- Yes, there is Wi-Fi available at the Cove Ridge Center.
5. Are tables and chairs available?
- Yes, there are tables and chairs available. Please contact the park for more information.
6. Are restrooms available at the venues?
- Yes, there are restrooms located at the Amphitheater and Cove Ridge Center. There is a Porta John at the deck. There are no restrooms at Fincastle Fields; however, Porta Johns can be rented from an outside vendor and placed on the lawn if needed.
7. Are caterers allowed?
- Yes, park staff will need a copy of their certificate of insurance and health department permit prior to the start of the reservation.
8. Are DJs allowed?
- Yes, park staff will need a copy of their certificate of insurance before the start of the reservation. Park staff will discuss appropriate sound levels before the start of your event.
9. Can I serve alcoholic beverages at my event?
- Yes, we require an Alcoholic Beverage Control banquet license. Please provide a copy of the license to park staff before the start of your event. The license should be posted at all times while the event is being held.
10. Are decorations permitted?
- Yes, decorations are permitted but may not be attached to painted surfaces and may not damage the hall in any way. Paint, glue, glitter or confetti are not allowed. No candles or open flames are allowed. Renters are responsible for damages or any excess cleaning required after the event.
11. Is ice available?
- Yes, there is an ice machine at the Cove Ridge Center.
12. Do I need to complete any additional paperwork through the park office?
- Yes, a Rental Terms of Agreement Form will be sent to you for review and signature. Please return the signed copy to the park office. Depending on the location of your event, a Special Use Permit Application may be required. Park staff will send you an application if one is required.
13. What if I need assistance after the office closes?
- Staff will provide you with a ranger on-call phone number for after-hours assistance.
14. I would like to tour the hall before making a reservation. Is this possible?
- Yes, please contact the park office at 276-940-2674 to schedule an appointment.
15. Do you have overnight facilities for our wedding guests?
- Yes, the park offers a lodge, cabins, yurts and camping. Guests can make reservations 11 months in advance through the Virginia State Parks Customer Service Center at 1-800-933-7275 and select option 5.
