Package 1: Private Evening Wedding Under the Natural Bridge

- Natural Bridge: Benches for 140 guests.
- Cedar Creek Pavilion: Picnic tables for 54 guests. Wedding parties can work with an outside vendor to rent tables and chairs for the additional 86 reception guests.
- Evening weddings are booked only on the second and third Saturdays of the month April through November.
- Cedar Creek Trail (where the Bridge Amphitheater and Cedar Creek Pavilion are located) will close to the public an hour before sunset (sunset is determined as the end of Civil Twilight). This package includes
- Up to 140 people.
- Admission for wedding party and guests.
- Ceremony rehearsal: Free admission but the trail would not be closed, and rehearsal parties are not permitted.
- Free admission during setup, two hours before Civil Twilight. Outside of this timeframe, all applicable daily admission fees are required.
- Bridge amphitheater for ceremony. This is the area under the natural bridge.
- Cedar Creek Pavilion. This is the covered area with fireplace and tables along the creek at the trail store.
- Cascade Picnic Area: Located at the bottom of the stairs near the trail store.
- Trail down lighting between the trail store and the bridge. Variety of colors available to choose from.
- Lighting up the bridge: The Natural Bridge will be light up. Variety of colors available to choose from.

1. Do you have a venue for ceremonies and receptions?
- Yes, the Natural Bridge and Cedar Creek Pavilion are available for ceremonies and receptions.
2. How many guests can these locations accommodate?
- There's enough seating at the Natural Bridge for 140 guests for outdoor ceremonies. The Cedar Creek Pavilion, a covered shelter, can accommodate 140 guests for receptions.
3. Are these locations available for rent for the full day?
- No, the amphitheater and pavilion are only available after the park closes to the public, which is one hour before sunset. Wedding parties and guests must clean up all decorations/equipment and leave the park by 10 p.m. Additionally, events can only be held at these locations from April through November on the second and third Saturdays of every month.
4. Is internet access available?
- Yes, there is Wi-Fi available.
5. Are tables and chairs available?
- There's bench seating for 140 guests at the Natural Bridge. The pavilion comes with picnic tables, which can accommodate 54 guests. Wedding parties can work with an outside vendor to rent tables and chairs for the additional 86 reception guests.

Accessing the Natural Bridge requires navigating a stairway of 137 steps. However, wedding parties can provide transportation or book private transportation from the trailhead to the Natural Bridge for guests who cannot navigate the steps.
8. Are caterers allowed?
- Yes, park staff will need a copy of their certificate of insurance and health department permit prior to the start of the reservation.
9. Are DJs allowed?
- Yes, park staff will need a copy of their certificate of insurance before the start of the reservation. Park staff will discuss appropriate sound levels before the start of your event.
10. Can I serve alcoholic beverages at my event?
- Yes, we require an Alcoholic Beverage Control banquet license. Please provide a copy of the license to park staff before the start of your event. The license should be posted at all times while the event is being held. Alcohol may not be taken outside of the meeting hall or off the patio.
11. Are decorations permitted?
- Yes, decorations are permitted but may not be attached to painted surfaces and may not damage the hall in any way. Paint, glue, glitter or confetti are not allowed. No candles or open flames are allowed. Renters will be responsible for damages or any excess cleaning required after the event.
12. Is ice available?
- Yes, ice is available for purchase.
13. Is there a fireplace?
- Yes, there is a fireplace at the pavilion.
14. Do I need to complete any additional paperwork through the park office?
- Yes, a Special Use Permit Application and $25 application fee are required.
15. What if I need assistance after the office closes?
- Staff will provide you with a ranger on-call phone number for after-hours assistance.
16. I would like to tour the park before making a reservation. Is this possible?

17. Do you have overnight facilities for our wedding guests?
- The park offers three group campsites year-round. These are primitive tent sites; RVs and trailers are not allowed. Guests can make reservations 11 months in advance through the Virginia State Parks Customer Service Center at 1-800-933-7275 and select option 5.
