Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

*Fees for beach swimming apply only when the beach is guarded. Check the Know Before You Go section on the park's website to determine whether the beach is guarded between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day. Outside that period, beach swimming is unguarded and without an extra fee.

Rain check Policy for Swimming: All state parks will issue a rain check, good for a period of 12 months from the date of issue, to any paying customer (does not apply to free swimming vouchers) if the swimming area is forced to close for 40 minutes or more due to inclement weather. Rain checks may be issued only to patrons present at the swimming area at the time of closure.

A full refund is available for a group reservation only if the park is notified three days in advance of the time of the reservation. In the event that the group is unable to complete their reservation due to inclement weather, rain checks will be issued to the individual members of the group in the same manner as other park patrons.

Season Swimming Permits do not include parking.

Weekend rates apply on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day holidays.
