Our Junior Rangers (one session in August for children who have completed 3rd through 5th grades) will be more engaged in wildlife mapping and outdoor skills. Registration begins February 10th. Cost is $40 per child.

Join us and our Girl Scouts of America friends on a hunt for prehistoric relics at fossil beach and modern marine life along the living shoreline. The tide will be low enough to search for shells and shark's teeth. But living creatures will be active with the in coming tide. Keep a relic and find a cool specimen for a temporary aquarium all in the same adventure.

With the parks miles of woodland trails and grassy expanses, you’re sure to see some of the mushrooms that are native to this part of the east coast year-round. Join us for a basic introduction to fungi in our Visitors Center Discovery Room, then come with us on a short hike to see what fungi we can discover.
