June is a beautiful month to get outdoors and enjoy some trails at Staunton River State Park.

High Bridge Trail State Park is hosting an annual 5K run in celebration of National Trails Day.  The race follows an out-and-back course.

We hope that you will take advantage of the trails today to enjoy celebrate all that the trails provide us -- fitness, health, and a sense of well-being.

Get ready to hit the trails and embark on an adventure like no other as we celebrate National Trails Day at Holliday Lake State Park!

Start the day off with a wonderful morning hike.  This gentle paced hike will take one of our favorite trails and be greeted with sounds of the forest and meadows along the way.    Meet our hike guide at the Trail Head near the  parking lot and the pollinator garden.   Be prepared for a variety of terrain.

Celebrate National Trails Day and give back to Mother Nature by helping to clean our park and keep it beautiful.

One excellent way to support Seven Bends State Park is through volunteering.

Park staff and volunteers will clean up trash and debris along the Wheaton Trail where rain runoff and debris deposits into Sailor's Creek and its tributaries which directly affects the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

National Trails Day provides an opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts to venture out onto their favorite trails for exercise and entertainment.

This National Trails Day, come on out to Chippokes and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the life of trees with special guests and Virginia Master Naturalists, Scott Detar and Jeff Owens.

Visit Wilderness Road State Park on National Trails Day to create and customize your own hiking stick.

Meet with a ranger at the Main Office and set out to the Tobacco House Ridge trail, where you can enjoy nature's wonders while clearing litter and sticks off the trail.

As a special opportunity during the park's quarterly cleanup, for National Trails Day 2024 park rangers will be leading trail upkeep crews along the Long Pond and Holly Marsh trails.

National Trails Day is a great opportunity to meet new people in your area and share a fun experience on a local trail.

Explore Redtail Ridge under the moonlight.  At 9 pm, we will be hosting a night hike on Redtail Ridge Trail to celebrate National Trails Day! This trail features a walk through the forest and a few great overlooks along the ridge.
