Join the park (and the world) in participating in the 28th annual Great Backyard Bird Count held Friday, February 13, through Monday, February 16, 2024. This event is a free, fun, and easy way to help scientists from the Audubon Society, The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Bird Studies of Canada while being right in your backyard, no matter your birding experience! 

Join a ranger on a hike on our Birding Trail to view and count overwintering birds. Some field guides and binoculars will be provided, but are limited, so if you have your own, please bring them. Please dress for the weather.

Natural Tunnel State Park is proud to offer red/green colorblindness correcting outdoor glasses by EnChroma during all offered programming; three protan red sensitivity and three deutan green sensitivity are available for use during programs.
