Let's get ready to FISH! Come learn how to line, bait, cast, and reel in a big one. Have fun with the whole family while learning the basics of fishing from our rangers. No pole? No problem. All items required for fishing will be supplied. Due to us fishing at a private pond, you will not need a fishing license for this program.
About National Kids to Parks Day
Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
