Celebrate Invasive Species Awareness Week with us! Join park rangers to learn how invasive plants threaten our local ecosystems and discover ways to identify these species. Then, grab a pair of provided loppers and help restore native habitats by removing invasive plants. Your hands-on effort makes a big difference!

Registration is required. Please call 434-933-4355 or email tess.himelspach@dcr.virginia.gov to register.

Location TBD. If you have work gloves, please bring them. Our supply is limited, but we’ll have a few pairs available to lend. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.
