Wandering the Wetlands

Join us for a hike in celebration of World Wetlands Day! Explore the park’s expansive wetlands with us as we search for and identify the plants and animals that call this unique habitat home. Bring a camera or binoculars for an up-close view of this diverse ecosystem.

The program will begin with an approximately 1 mile long hike over mostly flat, even terrain. Then a park ranger will do a demonstration about watersheds highlighting the impacts of pollutants on fragile downstream ecosystems, like wetlands.

Please meet at Green Hill Pond. All materials provided. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.
