When

Jan. 10, 2026. 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Pop on your bright eyes and bushy tails. In honor of National Squirrel Appreciation Day (January 21, 2026), you’ll explore a trail through the eyes of a squirrel. Search high and low for winter necessities like acorns, mushrooms, and oak leaves and see if you could survive in the park as a squirrel. Afterwards, get crafty and make your own squirrel call.

This ranger guided hike is approximately 0.5 miles in length. All trails are hard packed gravel, suitable for strollers. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
