Celebrate 80 years of history, conservation, and outdoor recreation by stepping into the story of the park on this guided anniversary hike. As we explore various trails, rangers will share tales about the park’s early days, the people who built it, and how the landscape has changed and endured over the last eighty years.
The hike covers approximately one mile of dirt/gravel trails that are rated easy to moderate. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, pack water/snacks, and dress for the weather.
This event marks the beginning of a series of programs and activities taking place throughout 2026 that will highlight the park’s history, resources, and the people who have shaped it over the past eight decades.
