Candlelight Hike

Jan. 31, 2026. 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

See James River in a whole new light with this special candlelit winter hike! Join a ranger for a 0.4 mile hike around Taylor Pond, illuminated by glowing luminaries. The ranger will share information about the park, including its unique ecosystems and dark sky viewing. After the hike, stay for s'mores around the campfire with music and games. 

Please meet at Frog Hollow Program Area. All materials provided. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.
