Bird Beak Adaptations

Location of Widewater State Park in Virginia

Where

Widewater State Park, 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
Visitor Center

When

Feb. 15, 2026. 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

From finches to falcons, each bird beak serves a purpose. Sharp curved beaks of our eagles and ospreys help them when hunting and eating fish, while the flat bills of our ducks and geese let them filter small food in the water. This program will explore the uses of different bird beaks by relating them to common tools humans use.

This program will be held in the Visitor Center.
