It's fall y'all, and in Virginia that means it's time for planting native wildflowers! Take a brief guided walk alongside one of Powhatan State Park's managed meadows to learn about the seasonal cycles of this vital habitat. You'll find out what kinds of wildlife depend on native meadows, get tips on planting native flowers at home, and even go home with some seeds. Seed quantity is limited.

The walk will be under one mile on a flat trail at a slow pace with frequent stops to identify and discuss the plants along the way. Shelter #1 is accessed via a paved sidewalk.

Register here to let us know you're coming. We will contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
