Step back in time and test your skills with an atlatl!
An atlatl (spear thrower) was a tool used by some Indigenous tribes during the Paleoindian culture and Archaic period. Atlatls were used to increase the velocity of a spear to take down large mammals in the Shenandoah Valley, such as caribou or bison.
Do you think you can hit the bullseye...on a pumpkin? That's right, we're putting our own Halloween spin on our favorite program!
There will be prizes for the best shot, worst shot, and more!
This program is for adults and children ages 7+. Atlatls and spears are supplied. The $5 program fee can be paid upon arrival. The fee can be waived if you provide your own pumpkin.
Registration is required. Click here to register.
