Make Tuesday your Trail Day. Each Tuesday, we are shinning a spotlight on one of our 25 trails for you to explore on your own. Make sure you are prepared for your hike and Leave No Trace. We recommend downloading our free Avenza map before you start your trek.

This Tuesday we are spotlighting Heron Run Trail

This is one our most popular trails and follows the western shore of the lake. This trail is 0.8 miles one way and rated easy. You can connect to many different trails to make this a longer hike if you wish. The hike provides great views of the lake and you are likely to spot some birds along the way. Many raptors are migrating in October, so keep your eyes to the sky.
