Spend time paddling down the Clinch River and enjoy viewing a variety of aquatic life, from longnose gar to freshwater mussels. Watch Great Blue Herons fly by and turtles sunning themselves on logs and rocks. If you’re lucky, you might even spot old abandoned railcars. No experience is needed, but paddling is required and guests may get wet. This section of the river is classified as less than a Class I rapid.

Cost is $15/person or $12/person for groups of 4 or more. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call the office at (276) 940-2674. 

Kayak trips are subject to cancellation due to poor river conditions, including water levels that are too high or too low for a safe trip. In the event of cancellation, guests will be notified at least one hour before the scheduled program time.

Natural Tunnel is proud to offer red/green colorblindness correcting outdoor glasses by EnChroma during all offered programming (3 protan red sensitivity and 3 deutan green sensitivity are available for use during programs)
