Celebrate the beauty of spring at Shenandoah River State Park!

Each spring, Virginia Bluebells blossom along our winding riverbank, creating a beautiful carpet of blue and purple hues. To celebrate this beauty, we are hosting our third annual Bluebell Festival! There will be food trucks, live music, various vendors, nature walks, ranger programs, and more.

The festival will be from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Entrance to the festival is free, but our standard $10 parking fee applies.

The festival activities will be located in the picnic area and the Bluebell Trail. The Bluebell Trail is a 1-mile-long, natural surface hiking trail with exposed roots and rocks.

Please bring cash! Most vendors will be cash only due to limited service.

Parks are for everyone. Please let us know if you need special accommodations.

For more information about the Bluebell Festival, or if you're interested in participating as a vendor, please email megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov or call (540) 622-2262.
