Come on out to Sky Meadows for "Dark Skies at Home: What You Can Do to Help", a practical, community-focused talk aimed at homeowners, landowners and local leaders interested in reducing light pollution, protecting nocturnal wildlife and preserving the region’s rural nightscapes.
Following the presentation, visitors are invited to stay for Astronomy for Everyone from 7:30-10:30 p.m., one of the park’s most popular programs. This family-friendly event features telescope viewing, expert stargazing guidance and Junior Astronomer activities.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register HERE. Pre-registration will also secure free parking for the event. The presentation will take place in the Carriage Barn at Sky Meadows State Park. 11012 Edmonds Lane, Delaplane, VA 20144.
