As twilight fades, step into the shadows of history. Join park rangers for a special Civil War-themed lantern tour across the historic High Bridge. Guided by lantern light, guests will walk in the footsteps of soldiers and civilians who witnessed the final days of the war in the spring of 1865.

Along the way, you'll hear stories of desperate marches, night time movements, and the lives left hanging in the balance as the Union and Confederate armies clashed over this critical span. Please join us for a first of its kind event on High Bridge. We hope to see you on the trail!

Details:
• Distance: Approximately two miles round trip on level gravel trail
• Meet at High Bridge Station (1466 Camp Paradise Rd, Rice, VA)
• Please bring water and wear sturdy shoes
• Flashlights are welcome, but lanterns will be provided for the tour
• Suitable for ages 10 and up
