Welcome all Girl Scouts! The park has several self-guided activities for you to enjoy during your visit and brochures can be found at the Park Office and outside the Lakeside Snack Bar.

A special archery session is offered at 10 a.m. which will cover the requirements for Cadette Archery. Only 10 spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis by contacting: bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov. There is a $5 per archer equipment fee.

Outdoor Art using natural materials we have selected will be offered at the Lakeside Snack Bar at 10 a.m. There is no fee or registration required.

Trail Adventures begin at 1 p.m. from the Lakeside Snack Bar. This two-hour, two-mile meander will include some special activities as well as nature discovery time. There is no fee or registration required.

Troops may inquire about specific group activities or arrange an age-appropriate service project by contacting bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov.

From guided hikes and plant identification to campfire building and backpacking basics, this special weekend helps Girl Scouts learn outdoor skills, build confidence and become advocates for the environment.
