A visit to the farm would not be complete without seeing farm animals! Sky Meadows State Park continues the historic use of this land, which has been a working farm for over 300 years. When you visit the historic farm today, you can see new Holstein cattle grazing in the Historic Area. Black Angus cattle are also visible roaming the rolling hills of the park. Keep an eye out for young calves along the fence line!

While walking around the historic area, you can also visit our growing flock of Barred Plymouth Rock and Rhode Island Red hens. Bring your quarters for the chicken feed dispenser, to give the hens a treat. This live animal exhibit is a great option for visitors looking to complete self-guided observation and exploration of Sky Meadows.
