Are you ready to broaden your horizons beyond car camping to enjoy a more challenging and immersive camping experience? The Let’s Go Adventures staff will teach you about all the backpacking essentials that you need to embark on your next backpacking adventure. Learn how to properly pack your backpack, plan your meals, map out your routes, and lay out the groundwork for your trip by planning ahead and preparing. When you load everything on your back and leave the car far behind, the freedom of the trail and adventure awaits.

This program is 1-2 hours long and is limited to 20 participants. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed by calling the Park Office during work hours at (276) 579-7092 or emailing graysonhighlands@dcr.virginia.gov.
