Do you have what it takes to be a Jr. Ranger? Join us on World Ranger Day to find out. Park Rangers will guide families and adult individuals through the Pocahontas Jr. Ranger booklet and practice the skills rangers need and use every day.
Once the booklet is complete, everyone will be sworn in as an official Jr. Ranger at Pocahontas State Park. This program is suitable for all ages, with some activities needing help from grown-ups.
The Jr. Rangers will start at the Visitor Center, and participants will hike along a few trails before touring the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum and returning back to Visitor Center. Please bring water, snacks, and other comfort items.
