What is a gundalow?
These long wooden flatboats were used to haul merchandise down the Shenandoah River. The gundalow industry ended in the late 1800s, but the impact that the industry left on the valley has not been forgotten.
During this program, kids and families will get the chance to build their own gundalow! Once you build your boat we will see if your creation can float down the Shenandoah River! Bring your bug spray!
