Previous kayaking experience required for this trip. Kayak season is here! Take a guided technical kayak trip with rangers from Clinch River State Park on Saturday, July 19th. This long float will be about 7.3 miles from the DWR Blackford Boat Launch in Honaker to the DWR launch at Puckett's Hole. Registration is limited to eight people. Children must be 16 years of age or older to float. A shuttle will leave the UVA Wise Oxbow Center in St. Paul at 9 a.m. Please bring water, snacks or a sack lunch. The program fee is $20 and covers the use of the kayak, paddle and life jacket. To register contact the park at 276-762-5076, or clinchriver@dcr.virginia.gov.
