Join us, this Juneteenth, on the Old Plantation Interpretive Trail as we learn about the enslaved people who lived on the plantation that used to stand at Occoneechee State Park, the information we’ve found on them, names, birthdays, the crops they grew for themselves and what we at Occoneechee State Park are doing to remember them.

Participants should bring closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and a bottle of water. The hike will be less than half a mile long and will have frequent breaks. Suggested age range: 10 years and up.
