Location of Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia

Where

Grayson Highlands State Park, 829 Grayson Highland Ln., Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363.
Visitor Center

When

June 14, 2025. 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Look into the forest and see the tangible mark of the ancient past on the landscape of today.

Learn about Southern Appalachian spruce-fir forests, relics of the last glacial age that survive only on a handful on high mountaintops within the Blue Ridge. We will be hiking the Twin Pinnacles Trail to the two highest points within the park. This moderate, 1.3-mile round-trip hike showcases the unique ecology of the park and features stunning long-range views.

Please bring water and comfortable shoes for the hike. We will be meeting outside of the Visitor Center.
