Join a ranger for a special Independence Day program exploring the pivotal events of April 6, 1865, during the closing days of the Civil War. Learn about the fierce fighting that took place at High Bridge, its role in Lee’s retreat toward Appomattox, and how the bridge became a critical point in shaping the end of the conflict.
Hear the stories of soldiers on both sides, the tactical decisions made here, and the lasting impact on our nation’s path to reunification.
