Did you know that it takes nine steps to load a Civil War musket? Join a park ranger as they first show off some of the necessary equipment soldiers carried and their different uses, along with showing off a typical infantry soldier's uniform. After that, they will go over and demonstrate all nine steps of loading a civil war musket in detail, and that does include the most fun part, firing it!
This will be held in the small artillery fortification just a short walk down the Battlefield Trail beside the Clover Visitor Center. There will be loud noises during this program, so please plan accordingly. For more information call the Clover Center at 434-454-4312.
