June 15, 2025. 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Come with us on a guided canoe tour of the beautiful lake at Fairy Stone State Park. Learn the history of the old iron-ore mining 'boomtown' of Fayerdale, which now lies below the surface of the lake, and the reason it is there now.

The cost is $15 per canoe rental or $5 to bring your own boat. Life jackets are required. Registration is required as well and must be made in person at the Park Office prior to the event. The age limit is 4 and up; children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Most trips sell out, so those interested should visit the Park Office before the start time to see if slots are available. Maximum participation: 12 boats (2-3 participants per canoe depending on size of individuals).
