Join the Occoneechee State Park rangers and partner agencies in showcasing outdoor skills and jobs. There will be interactive activities for all ages such as geocaching and archery programs. There will be fun opportunities to see the tools and methods for engaging jobs such as forestry and conservation police work.
Come and go as you please to enjoy some or all National Kids to Parks Day has to offer at Occoneechee State Park. Most of the activities will take place outside the Visitor Center, with extra parking available at Boat Ramp 2 across the road.

About National Kids to Parks Day
Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
