The peepers are peepin', and Spring has sprung; come enjoy the park while the season is young! Join our Rangers in this 4-part series where we explore every season through each of our unique senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, & smell.

May 1st, 11am-12:30pm

Sight: Splashes of colors are appearing throughout the park: flowers, birds, and fluttering insects. Let's see what can be observed as we hike Long Pond Trail.

May 8th, 11am-12:30pm

Sound: With a symphony of wind, water, songbirds, and frogs, our wetlands provide an abundance of sounds to soak in. This special song you can only enjoy when walking through Holly Marsh in Spring.

May 15th, 11am-12:30pm

Touch: From the roughest bark to the softest feather, nature provides an abundance of textures through which we can experience nature this season.

May 19th, 11am-12:30pm

Taste & Smell: A sweet dandelion, and a tart blackberry, plus a scared skunk off in the woods; all these, and more, make up the tastes and smells of Spring here at Widewater State Park!

*Maximum of 12 participants. All programs start at the Visitor Center. Be sure to bring water and closed-toed shoes!
