When
April 26, 2025. 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Warmer spring days bring plant growth and now we can find a variety of plants bursting into bloom. Vernal pools are still teeming with life before they dry up this summer, and Saunder's Creek is home to a variety of organisms.
We will explore both on this timely hike and also learn about insects and their role to the wildflowers along the way. This hike will be approximately one mile in length. Please wear closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting wet and bring a reusable water bottle.
This hike will take place on Lakeshore Trail and will start at the trail head near the Boat Launch in the Day Use Area. For more information or for any accommodations please call the Park Office at 434-248-6308.
