Come to Widewater State Park this Arbor Day and learn how to plant a tree from Chief Ranger Ellen! As the tree in being planted, Ranger Ellen will demonstrate how to properly prepare the tree for transplant, the appropriate size to dig a hole for the new tree, and other tips to keep your tree happy and healthy in its' new home.

This program will take place in the native plant garden next to the Visitor Center. Although participants will not be planting any trees themselves, it is a good idea to wear closed-toes shoes as there will be dirt and debris being shoveled about.
