Frogs, crawdads, and children, oh my! In our 'CSI' program the interpretive staff invite kids and adults to get in and get wet as they look for macroinvertebrates and other stream critters. This program is conducted in accordance with Virginia law; park staff possess the proper permits and training to collect and briefly handle wildlife.
Please be sure to wear boots or water shoes for this program. Join us as at Fairy Stone State Park for an iNaturalist BioBlitz event! During a BioBlitz, students, rangers, citizens and scientists work together to observe & identify as many species as they can.
