Caterpillar Club

Just as caterpillars grow and change, our Caterpillar Club programs are designed to help your little one grow and change. Each week, we will have you and your child(ren) exploring our natural world through a variety of seasonally appropriate, hands-on activities that will foster children's inborn sense of wonder and curiosity. These experiences are gauged towards early childhood (3-5 years old), but of course, all family members are welcome and encouraged to participate. Every program supports Virginia's Blocks for Early Learning.

Please dress for the weather. We are meeting at the Playground by the Pool.

April 24 - Recycled Crafts: Pick up litter and find opportunities to craft from trash.
May 1 - Butterflies: Learn more about these winged wonders.
May 8 - Mothers on the Loose: Walk with a ranger to reunite mama critters (stuffed animals) with their babies.
May 15 - Trees: Celebrate "Love A Tree Day" early with tree themed activities.
May 22 - Turtles: 'Shell-abrate' (celebrate) some 'turtally' (totally) awesome reptiles.
May 29 - Ants on Parade: It's picnic season, a perfect time to learn more about our insect friends.
