Spring has sprung, and there is no better place to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather than at Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Gear up for the Easter Bunny with an afternoon of "hopping" good fun. Bring your own basket and hop on down to the Discovery Center for an Easter egg hunt. There will be over 1,700 eggs to find. After the hunt, drop off your empty plastic eggs for recycling. If you find one of the "golden" eggs, bring it to the interpretive ranger to receive a special prize. Enjoy hands-on crafts, hay wagon rides, and a whole lot more. Also keep a lookout; you might just spot the Easter bunny!

Easter Egg Hunt begins promptly at 1:15 p.m.
Fun Crafts and games from 1:30 - 3 p.m.
Hay Wagon Rides from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: Access to the Discovery Center area of the park will be closed to the public in the morning. The gates and access to this area will open at 12:30 p.m.
