Celebrate Nationals Kids to Parks Day with us as we Launch into Summer! Stop by River’s Way PlaySpace from 11am-2pm to take park in family fun activities. Activities include a touch table, yard games and engaging programs scheduled every half hour. Ages 8 and up can try their hand at archery. Shop the merchandise trailer to get a discount on selected items. Food will be available for purchase provided by Rutz Catering.

At noon, we will be unveiling the new mosaic by Community Art Collaborative. You won't want to miss your chance to be one of the first people to see the beautiful new art feature in it's permanent home.

*There is no fee for this program, but an annual or daily parking pass is required.

About National Kids to Parks Day

Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
